Reactor Batteries Series
Flagship smart battery series with a rugged casing crafted from aerospace-grade PA12 polymer. Features an independent BMS per module, offering high energy density, hot-swapping, and extreme safety for heavy-payload and long-endurance flight systems.
System Overview
Reactor is Taiwan UAS Group's purpose-designed modular power architecture — built around a principle that the drone industry has largely overlooked: every battery module should charge independently.
The Safety Problem Reactor Solves
In recent years, lithium battery fires in consumer electronics, electric vehicles, and drone equipment have become an increasingly reported safety concern. A significant contributing factor in drone operations specifically is parallel charging — the practice of charging multiple battery packs simultaneously through a shared charger circuit.
The risk: when multiple cells or packs are connected in parallel during charging, cells that reach full charge first continue to receive current from cells that are still charging. This charge imbalance can trigger overcharge conditions in already-full cells, leading to heat buildup, electrolyte decomposition, and in worst cases, thermal runaway and fire — particularly in high-discharge cells that are characteristic of drone power systems.
High-discharge drone cells compound this risk: aggressive discharge cycles rapidly degrade internal resistance consistency across cells in a pack. Within a short operational period, cells that began identical diverge in internal resistance — and parallel-charged packs of mismatched cells are statistically the most common origin of drone-related battery incidents.
The Reactor Solution: Independent BMS Per Module
- Every Reactor module contains its own independent BMS — each pack charges, monitors, and protects itself in complete isolation
- No parallel charging paths — no cross-cell charge imbalance during the charging cycle
- Each module reaches full charge at its own rate without forcing current into already-charged neighbors
- Cell-level voltage, temperature, and state-of-health monitoring per module
- Integrated discharge protection prevents cell damage during aggressive high-C drone operations
